2020 MAZDA CX-5 Review
Here at Sussman Mazda, we’re used to getting questions about the 2020 Mazda CX-5. So, we created this review to help the drivers around Willow Grove, Willow Manor, and Glenside get to know more about this exciting crossover SUV. Read on to discover all about its safety systems, interior dimensions, and more!
2020 MAZDA CX-5: Safety
When it’s equipped with the available Adaptive Front-lighting System, the Mazda CX-5 is an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) 2019 TOP SAFETY PICK+. As such, it offers a bunch of other safety features that might interest you.
Check out its advanced suite of driver-assistive technologies, called i-Activsense®:
- Lane-keep Assist
- Blind Spot Monitoring
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Lane Departure Warning System
- Advanced Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection
And that’s not even mentioning the Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go. This state-of-the-art feature helps you to keep both a set speed and a minimum following distance between you and the car in front of you. What could that look like? Well, let’s say that traffic up ahead slows down—you’ll automatically slow down, too. Let’s say that traffic up ahead completely stops—you’ll automatically completely stop, too. Reach out to us if you have any questions about this!
2020 MAZDA CX-5: Interior
Moving on to the interior, we’ll take a look at just how much room you and everybody you’re hanging out with will have.
With 39.7 inches of headroom, 57.1 inches of shoulder room, 55.2 inches of hip room, and 41.0 inches of legroom, the driver and the passenger won’t mind even the longest road trips. Plus, those in the back will have plenty of wiggle room to…well…wiggle: 39.0 inches of headroom, 54.8 inches of shoulder room, 55.3 inches of hip room, and 39.6 inches of legroom, to be exact.
And you can carry a car full of friends and family while still transporting up to 30.9 cubic feet of cargo. Or, you could fold the rear seatbacks and expand that to 59.6 cubic feet of cargo.
One last point—not only is this crossover SUV’s cabin spacious, but it’s nice, too. We’re talking about Push Button Start, an electronic parking brake, plenty of 12-volt power outlets, cloth-trimmed seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear selector, carpet floor mats, and much more.
All of that’s on the Sport trim level. However, let’s say that you upgrade to the Signature trim level. That’d mean an interior with a dual-zone automatic climate control system, speed sensitive power door locks with 2-stage unlocking, LED illuminated visor vanity mirrors, etc. Interested yet?
If so, you can experience the entire cabin for yourself by scheduling a test drive right now!
